Hello young fellows,
I want to tell you about the last film I saw, which narrates a real fact in Agatha Christie´s life by following the style of her stories.
The film, Agatha and The Truth of Murder, is directed by Terry Loane and starring Ruth Bradley and Pipa Haywood as Agatha Christie and Florence Nightingale's friend.
It was released and premiered on 19 April on Netflix.
The plot is based on Agatha Christie's real disappearance, but the story is imaginary, because nobody really knows the true facts.
Agatha Christie is going through a very tough situation, because she can't find inspiration to create new stories. Besides, her husband has a relationship with another woman and wants a divorce. She is really upset and disappears. Scotland Yard are looking for her with thousands of men and even helicopters. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes, is also collaborating with them. Meanwhile, she gets involved in the solution of Florence Nightingale's - the first and most famous British nurse -murder.
One of the things I like most is the scenery. It is set in typical British countryside and houses, with the clothes, furniture, gardens and decorations from the 1930s, which are very well reflected.
I think it is an entertaining film for viewers who like mystery and detective films, like Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple or Hercule Poirot. Those kinds of movies where sharp observation, ability to relate facts and deduction are the tools to solve any crime.
I hope you enjoy it.
